The foundations of Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland’s successes are built on our expertise, partnerships and the generosity of community contributions.
Council on the Ageing Queensland does not have members, rather we have Supporters.
We warmly invite you to become a supporter to contribute to our valuable work. Together we can make a difference by supporting the wellbeing of older Queenslanders.
Your voice and involvement matters. With you as a supporter on our team, we can do so much more.
Please become a supporter and join us for one or more of the following opportunities:
- Keep informed – sign up for our newsletter, blogs and updates using the form here.
- Share your knowledge – become a contributor to our team of seniors’ community representatives and provide your insights, expertise and expectations on key issues in your area of interest to support our work.
- Donate your time – Become an Energy Champion.
- Donate your time – Host an Energy Champion community group session by requesting a session here, calling Lisa Hodgkinson on 0484 260 576 or emailing lisa.hodgkinson@

Donations and Bequests
Your donation or bequest can help us continue our advocacy and extend our reach to people across Queensland by:
- Supporting individuals and communities to share their voices, informing our policy submissions
- Empowering older people to make informed decisions through our programs and services
- Raising the standards, choice and expectations of aged care
promoting healthy ageing - Challenging stereotypes and combating ageism.
How to Donate
It’s easiest and quickest to donate online via PayPal. PayPal is a safe online payment system that protects your financial information.
You don’t need an account to donate with a credit or debit card via PayPal – simply select the ‘donate now’ button below and follow the instructions.
Donations can be made as a one-off payment, or you can make recurring monthly payments.
Once your payment is complete, you will be emailed a receipt.
Our Charitable Status
Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland proudly displays the Australian Charities and Not-for Profits Commission (ACNC) tick symbolising trust and accountability.
This recognition assures our supporters that we meet high standards of governance, transparency and financial management.
As a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) charity, endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), donations to Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland are tax deductible.
This status helps us direct more funds towards advocating for the rights and wellbeing of older Australians.
