A new RADIO service for seniors

COTA (Council on the Ageing) Queensland is the Seniors Peak giving older Queenslanders a voice on issues that affect them.

2016 Subsidies Opening Soon

Seniors Week 2016 – Let’s come together Queensland

Starting on Saturday 13 August Seniors Week 2016 will run through to Sunday 21 August – 9 days of celebrations.

Last year 737 events were held from the Northern Peninsula Region to Mount Isa, Cairns to the Granite Belt and Gold Coast.

Remembering the Man in the Poster

Dudley Warhurst WWII Veteran, one of the faces of Queensland Seniors Week and one of the nicest men you’ll ever meet, passed away last month at the age of 95.

Army records in Canberra show that Dudley Warhurst was born in Ballan on 22 August 1919 and was living and working in Benalla as a carpenter when he enlisted in the Militia.  He joined the 59th Battalion which was known as the Hume Regiment and Read the rest

Dudley’s Story – How about we go and see Bradman

Dudley is an amazing man.  He is not only one of the faces of 2014 and  2015 Queensland Seniors Week,  he is a WWII Veteran, has a cheeky sense of humour, is a mad fan for cricket and an avid cyclist in his youth.
