Share your Voice with Council on the Ageing Queensland
Your experience, ideas and perspectives matter.
Sharing your voice helps Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland understand what’s important to older Queenslanders and ensures lived experience informs our advocacy and work.
You don’t need to be a writer. You can share as much or as little as you like, in your own words.
What Can I Share?
You might choose to share:
A personal story or lived experience.
Reflections or life lessons advice or ideas.
A written piece you’d like us to read.
Sharing your voice is voluntary. With your permission, some contributions may be shared more widely to help raise awareness, influence decisions and create positive change.
We Would Love to Hear From You
Your Voice Helps Shape Change
Each year, thousands of older Queenslanders share their voices with Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland.
What people share with us helps directly inform:
Advocacy priorities.
Policy submissions.
Government consultations.
Sharing your voice helps ensure older people continue to influence decisions that affect Queenslanders as we age.
Who is Council on the Ageing Queensland?
Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland is the peak body representing older people in Queensland.
For almost 70 years, we have worked alongside older Queenslanders, community organisations and decision-makers to ensure older people are heard, respected and included in decisions that affect their lives.
Become a Community Advocate
