Report No. 11, 58th Parliament - Inquiry into elder abuse in Queensland

The Report from the Inquiry into elder abuse in Queensland was tabled in State Parliament on Friday 12 December. COTA Qld is pleased to see strong alignment between the Report’s recommendations and our submission made to the Inquiry in April, including identifying ageism as a driver of abuse and the need for targeted initiatives to reduce social isolation among older Queenslanders. 

COTA Qld will review the Report fully over the coming weeks and looks forward to working with Government and stakeholders to address its recommendations.
