An intervention for family carers

Jenny Murfield, PhD candidate at Griffith University is conducting a study supervised by Prof Wendy Moyle and Prof Analise O’Donovan to develop an intervention for family carers of older adults that promotes self-compassion to support healthy emotion regulation and coping.

She is conducting interviews with key stakeholders including family carers to explore perceptions of self-compassion, and find out about the types of things that might facilitate or prevent uptake of a support intervention for family carers. She is also conducting an online survey looking at self-compassion, emotional health and wellbeing in family carers of people aged 65 years or older.

You can access the survey  here: prodsurvey.rcs.griffith.edu.au/CarerHealthSurvey or contact Jenny on  j.murfield@griffith.edu.au for more information.
