Planning for Wellbeing – opportunity for consumers and carers

COTA Queensland is offering consumers and carers with a lived experience of mental illness the opportunity to participate in an action group to improve health outcomes for older people in Brisbane North.

Brisbane North PHN has engaged COTA Queensland to work with people across the Brisbane North region, with an interest and expertise in mental health. A range of stakeholders will be brought together in an action group to progress Planning for Wellbeing — the regional plan for Brisbane North and Moreton Bay. The particular focus is on mental health and suicide prevention. A copy of the Regional Plan can be downloaded at www.mymentalhealth.org.au.

YOUR ROLE

Expressions of interest are being invited to participate on this action group. If successful, as a member of the action group you will be influential in sharing your lived experience of navigating health services and wider supports, to contribute to better outcomes for older people in the Brisbane North region.

In your role as a consumer or carer with a lived experience, you will participate in a working group with key stakeholders, including service providers and health professionals, to develop and implement a workplan for the next 12 months.

The project runs until June 2020.
