Age-Friendly Transport and Technology – Have your say!

The University of Queensland is surveying older Queenslanders’ travel behaviours and their use of new and transport-related technologies.

The objective of this research is to better understand the travel behaviour of Queenslanders over 65, including the relationship between older Queenslanders’ travel behaviour and their use of new technologies. The first portion of the survey will investigate how often participants travel to different types of activities, their preferred transport modes, and how they perceive alternatives to driving in private vehicles. The second portion of the survey explores participants’ access to and use of different types of technology, and how they use (or do not use) those technologies to interact with transportation and government services. The results of this survey will provide policymakers and planners with valuable information in their efforts to create a more age-friendly transport system.

If you are 65 years of age or older, you may participate in this project. The survey is expected to take 10 – 15 minutes.
