TransLink and Yellow Cabs have recently launched a 12 month trial of Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) in selected Logan suburbs.
DRT is a new shared transport option designed to make it easier to get around your local area when buses and trains aren’t available.
Using DRT is simple:
- You register and book your trip in advance (eight hours before you want to travel)
- They find other people in your area that want to travel at the same time
- They pick you all up near your homes and drop you to your selected destination
- You pay a standard low fare ($3 for adults and $1.50 for concession holders) no matter how far you travel.
DRT operates from 6am to 10pm, seven days a week, and is designed to connect you to your local transport hubs and community facilities. You can use DRT to travel to nearby bus or train stations, and selected local shops, community facilities and medical centres.
If you have already tried DRT for yourself, let TransLink know what you thought by completing their Customer Satisfaction Survey.
