Opportunity to participate in the NSAF Review survey

The department is reviewing the National Screening and Assessment Form (NSAF) in response to feedback from the sector. This is a high priority to support a more effective and streamlined assessment process.

Background

The National Screening and Assessment Form (NSAF) was implemented in My Aged Care in 2015 to support the collection of information during:

  • Screening (conducted over-the-phone by the My Aged Care contact centre)
  • Home Support Assessment (conducted face-to-face by the My Aged Care Regional Assessment Service)
  • Comprehensive Assessment

My Aged Care evaluation findings

 

The department conducted a second wave of research in late 2016 – early 2017 to evaluate the implementation of My Aged Care amongst consumers, assessors, service providers and other key stakeholder groups.

The objectives were to evaluate experiences and perceptions of the aged care system and My Aged Care since the first wave of research in early 2016.

Key findings

Care recipients and carers continue to report high levels of satisfaction in many areas, including:

  • screening outcomes
  • face-to-face assessment
