Over the final weekend of Seniors Week, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 of August, the Story Bridge will flash purple. What a fitting way to close the week after all, we have been asking you to flash a smile, take an elfie, and then to share your story.

Seniors Week, to be held this year from 13 -21 August, is an opportunity for Queenslanders of all ages to come together to celebrate the valuable contributions older people make to our communities.

Requests for subsidies this year were significantly greater than the funds available and   regrettably we have not able to provide subsidies to every applicant.

Businesses and corporations are encouraged to get involved by assisting and supporting events in their area.
