COTA Queensland Seniors Week Coordinator Lisa Hodgkinson will be utilising a personal trip to explore Seniors Week events and activities in Alberta Canada next week.
Over the years Lisa has shared her knowledge of coordinating Seniors Week and increasing social participation with groups throughout Queensland and with the organising committee of the first Seniors Week in Orange County California.
Lisa has welcomed the opportunity to attend the Provincial Launch of Seniors Week, held in Calgary on 5 June.

Seniors Week, to be held this year from 13 -21 August, is an opportunity for Queenslanders of all ages to come together to celebrate the valuable contributions older people make to our communities.
Requests for subsidies this year were significantly greater than the funds available and regrettably we have not able to provide subsidies to every applicant.
Businesses and corporations are encouraged to get involved by assisting and supporting events in their area.

Seniors Week 2016 – Let’s come together Queensland
