The Seniors Roundtable comprises eight key seniors’ organisations which work
together with Government on older peoples’ needs and issues.
As an apolitical group, working for the benefit of all older Queenslanders, the
Seniors Roundtable works with Government as part of its policy decision-making
process and continuously monitors the implementation of policy to ensure
appropriate outcomes.
In addition to COTA Queensland, member organisations include:
- Association of Independent Retirees (AIR)
- Australian Pensioners’ and Superannuants’ League
- Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland
- National Seniors
- Older People Speak Out (OPSO)
- Older Women’s Network (OWN)
- Queensland Retired Teachers’ Association
Through each organisation’s membership and community consultations we are able to:
- identify the priority needs of older Queenslanders
- develop policy positions and submissions and
- advocate these to Government
