On Thursday 30 November 2017, our members are invited to join us in celebrating 60 years of service to Queensland’s ageing population at our 60th Annual General Meeting.
On October 14 1957, The Older People’s Welfare Council Queensland, an initiative of the Rotary Club of Brisbane, began. COTA has evolved into Queensland’s Seniors Peak Service, working with stakeholders to develop solutions for people as they age.
Through the commitment and determined efforts of past and present board members, staff, volunteers, and supporters, we advance the rights, interests and futures of Queenslanders as we age.
Whilst acknowledging and celebrating our past we are looking forward to building an Age-friendly Queensland, changing the dialogue and championing a new intergenerational understanding of ageing, continuing to draw attention to those most in need.
Celebrate 60 years of history and to be part of the future where ageing in Australia is a time of possibility, opportunity and influence.
