The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is currently leading a national initiative of Commonwealth, state and territory consumer protection regulators to develop educational resources to assist older consumers and their support networks understand their consumer rights and options when choosing to interact with providers of goods and services in the aged care sector.
The ACCC would also like to assist providers in the Consumer Directed Care sector by developing resources to assist businesses to understand their obligations under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CCA).
The Office of Fair Trading and the ACCC invite you to participate in a questionnaire so they can gain further understanding of key competition and consumer issues facing older consumers and providers and to understand the best way to communicate information to the aged care sector.
The questionnaire can be found here and should only take 3-5 minutes to complete.
By participating in the questionnaire you will be helping to provide targeted and useful information to the aged care sector.
The questionnaire will close at 11.59pm on Tuesday 31 October 2017.
